Bathing… Our hotel is located in the middle of the Chiemgau lake region.  There are many beautiful lakes within 10-15 km of Säulner Hof, for swimming and water sports.A few examples are the Lödensee or the Weitsee in Ruhpolding, the Tütensee in Grabenstätt (one of the warmest moor lakes in the region), and of course the "Bavarian Ocean" – the Chiemsee.

On your bikes, ready, GO!

Varied scenery, high air quality and superior, well-marked bike paths all make cycling in Southern Bavaria and especially in the Chiemgau and extra special experience.  You can choose between easier and more advanced tours and we are happy to help you plan your excursion.

Mountain bikers staying with us can discover new challenges every day.  Countless kilometers of trails covering all levels of difficulty are waiting for you. Bike trail maps for the Chiemgau and Rupertigau areas are available free of charge.  We also have a limited selection of bikes which are available for use.

Hiking… Soft, rolling hills surrounding the mountains, rocky mountain peaks and in between, the "Bavarian Ocean" - the Chiemsee, offer you for a wonderful hiking experience.  Backpacks and walking sticks are available free of charge.

Nordic Walking… The well-known Nordic Walking trail through the Bergener Moos, as well as the elevated trail on the Hochfelln are awaiting you.

Paragliding / Hang gliding: An optimal launch is located on the Hochfelln, which is reachable with the Seilbahn (cablecar).

Golf… The Chiemgau is a golfer's paradise!  Several 18-hole courses are located within 30 minutes of our hotel (Chieming/Hart, Ruhpolding, Reit im Winkl)

Winter Sports… Countless groomed cross country trails are located in the foothills of the Alps.  Along with our scenic trail located in Bergen, the famous trail in Ruhpolding is nearby which hosted the Biathlon Worldcup in 2009.

Alpine skiers are catered to on the Hochfelln with groomed trails for beginners and experienced skiers. Ice Skating is also possible on frozen lakes or in the Ice Stadiums in nearby Inzell or Ruhpolding
